কিছু জন্মদিন কেবল একজন মানুষের বয়স বাড়ার দিন নয়; কিছু জন্মদিন হয়ে ওঠে একটি জাতির স্মৃতি, সংগ্রাম ও স্বপ্নকে নতুন করে স্মরণ করার উপলক্ষ। ২৮ সেপ্টেম্বর তেমনই একটি দিন। এই দিনে জন্ম নেওয়া একজন মহীয়সী নারী কে ঘিরে বাংলাদেশের রাজনীতি, উন্নয়ন, সংকট ও প্রত্যাশার বহু ইতিহাস রচিত হয়েছে।
আজকের এই দিনে জন্মদিনের শুভেচ্ছা শুধু ব্যক্তির প্রতি নয়—একটি দীর্ঘ রাজনৈতিক জীবনের সংগ্রামের ইতিহাস একটি পরিবারের আত্মত্যাগের ইতিহাস এবং একটি রাষ্ট্রের আর্তনিরবরশীল হিসেবে গড়ে তোলার নানা অধ্যায়কেও স্মরণ করা।
১৯৭৫ সালের ১৫ আগস্টের নির্মম হত্যাকাণ্ড বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসে এক গভীর ক্ষত। সেই ভয়াবহ শোকের ভেতর দিয়েই শেখ হাসিনার রাজনৈতিক যাত্রার নতুন অধ্যায় শুরু হয়। নির্বাসন, ফিরে আসা, আন্দোলন, কারাবরণ, জনসমর্থন—সব মিলিয়ে তাঁর দীর্ঘ পথচলা বাংলাদেশের রাজনৈতিক ইতিহাসের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অংশ।
কোন মানুষ ই সমালোচনার ঊর্ধ্বে নয় কিন্তু এ কথা অস্বীকার করা যায় না যে, বাংলাদেশের ৫৫ বছরের ইতিহাসে তাঁর ভূমিকা একটি উল্লেখযোগ্য অধ্যায় হিসেবে আলোচিত হবে ,বাংলাদেশের গণতন্ত্রের আন্দোলন ও একটা গণতান্ত্রিক আধুনিক রাষ্ট্রব্যবস্থার যেখানে সকল মানুষের অধিকার নিশ্চিত করা হয়েছে,
উন্নয়নের স্বপ্ন ও রাষ্ট্র গঠনের প্রচেষ্টা
বাংলাদেশের অবকাঠামো উন্নয়ন, বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন বৃদ্ধি, ডিজিটাল উদ্যোগ, সেতু, মেট্রোরেল, কর্ণফুলী টানেল, অর্থনৈতিক অঞ্চল, নারীর ক্ষমতায়নে অংশগ্রহণ বৃদ্ধি—এসব উদ্যোগ তাঁর সরকারের সময়ে গৃহীত উল্লেখযোগ্য উন্নয়ন প্রকল্প ছিল। এবং বাংলাদেশের অর্থনৈতিক ও সামাজিক অগ্রগতি সাধিত হয় ,
বঙ্গবন্ধুর অসমাপ্ত স্বপ্ন বাস্তবায়নে অর্থনীতির মুক্তির আহ্বান
“বাংলার মানুষকে মুক্ত করে ছাড়ব।”
সেই মুক্তির অর্থ শুধু স্বাধীনতা নয়; দারিদ্র্যমুক্ত, মর্যাদাসম্পন্ন, বৈষম্যহীন বাংলাদেশ গড়ার আকাঙ্ক্ষাও ছিল তার সঙ্গে জড়িত।
শেখ হাসিনার রাজনীতি নিয়ে বিভিন্ন মত থাকলেও তাঁর বক্তব্যে বহুবার বঙ্গবন্ধুর সেই স্বপ্নের ধারাবাহিকতার কথা উঠে এসেছে—যেখানে শিক্ষা, কৃষি, প্রযুক্তি ও সামাজিক নিরাপত্তাকে রাষ্ট্র গঠনের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভিত্তি হিসেবে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে। যেখানে নারী পুরুষের সমান অধিকারের ও সুযোগ নিশ্চিত করা হয়েছিল ,
একটি রাষ্ট্রের জন্য প্রয়োজন নীতিনির্ভর ভবিষ্যৎ নিশ্চিত করা ছিল তার উদ্দেশ্য,
বাংলাদেশের সামনে এখনও বহু চ্যালেঞ্জ রয়েছে—
কর্মসংস্থান,
কৃষির আধুনিকীকরণ,
ব্যাংকিং সংস্কার,
জ্বালানি নিরাপত্তা,
স্বাস্থ্যসেবার উন্নয়ন,
করব্যবস্থার কার্যকারিতা,
গবেষণাভিত্তিক নীতিনির্ধারণ।
একটি শক্তিশালী রাষ্ট্র কেবল রাজনৈতিক নেতৃত্বে নয়; কার্যকর প্রতিষ্ঠান, দক্ষ প্রশাসন এবং বাস্তবভিত্তিক নীতিনির্ধারণের ওপরও দাঁড়িয়ে থাকে। ভবিষ্যতের বাংলাদেশ গড়তে এ বিষয়গুলো গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হয়ে থাকবে। আর শুধু শেখ হাসিনা ৩য় প্রত্যাবর্তনের মাধ্যমে এর বাস্তবায়ন সম্ভব ,
এই দিনে শুভেচ্ছা জানাই একজন প্রবীণ রাজনৈতিক নেত্রীকে, যাঁর জীবন বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসের নানা বাঁকের সঙ্গে জড়িয়ে আছে।
প্রার্থনা করিএবং আমার বিশ্বাস, আপনার প্রত্যাবর্তনের মধ্য দিয়ে বাংলাদেশ আবার নতুন এক জাগরণের পথে এগিয়ে যাবে। বর্তমান সময়ে মানুষের যে অর্থনৈতিক দুর্দশা, মূল্যস্ফীতির চাপ, কর্মসংস্থানের সংকট ও নানামুখী অনিশ্চয়তা—সেসবের বিরুদ্ধে মানুষ আবার প্রতিবাদের শক্তি খুঁজে পাবে।
বাংলাদেশের বর্তমান সামাজিক বাস্তবতায় যে ভারসাম্য একসময় সমাজকে ধরে রেখেছিল, তা ৫ই আগস্টের পর তা গভীরভাবে ভেঙে পড়েছে। সহমর্মিতা, সহনশীলতা ও সামাজিক নৈতিকতার যে ভিত্তি ছিল, তা ক্রমেই ক্ষয়প্রাপ্ত হয়েছে। মব সন্ত্রাস, কিশোর গ্যাং, দুর্নীতি, লুটপাট, ছিনতাই, চাঁদাবাজি এবং মানুষের জানমালের নিরাপত্তাহীনতা সমাজকে এক অনিশ্চিত ও অস্থির অবস্থার দিকে ঠেলে দিয়েছে।
শুধু আইন-শৃঙ্খলাই নয়, সামাজিক, অর্থনৈতিক ও মানবিক নিরাপত্তার ক্ষেত্রেও গভীর সংকট তৈরি হয়েছে। মানুষের জীবনযাত্রায় অনিশ্চয়তা বেড়েছে, আর নৈতিক অবক্ষয় যেন সমাজের নানা স্তরে ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে।
নারীর মর্যাদা ও স্বাধীনতার প্রশ্নেও উদ্বেগজনক পরিবর্তন দেখা দিয়েছে। নারীদের ছোট করে দেখার প্রবণতা, বহুবিবাহকে সামাজিকভাবে স্বাভাবিক করে তোলার চেষ্টা এবং নারীকে পণ্যের মতো বিবেচনা করার মানসিকতা—এসব বিষয় সমাজে নতুন করে আলোচনার জন্ম দিয়েছে।
আমার দৃষ্টিতে, শেখ হাসিনা ক্ষমতাচ্যুত হওয়ার পর থেকে দেশ অস্থিরতা, অসহিষ্ণুতা ও নৈতিক অবক্ষয়ের এক কঠিন সময় অতিক্রম করছে। এই সংকট থেকে উত্তরণের পথ হিসেবে আমি শেখ হাসিনার প্রত্যাবর্তনকে একটি প্রয়োজনীয় সমাধান হিসেবে দেখি।
আমি আশা করি, আপনার নেতৃত্বে বাংলাদেশ আবারও বিশ্বমঞ্চে নতুন করে নিজের অবস্থানকে দৃঢ়ভাবে তুলে ধরবে এবং উন্নয়নের যে স্বপ্ন আপনি একসময় জাতির সামনে উপস্থাপন করেছিলেন, সেই স্বপ্ন বাস্তবায়নের পথে মানুষ নতুন অনুপ্রেরণা লাভ করবে।

September 28 is precisely such a day. Much history of Bangladesh's politics, development, crises, and expectations has been forged around the extraordinary woman born on this day.
On this day, birthday greetings are not just for an individual—they also commemorate the history of a long political struggle, the history of a family's sacrifices, and the various chapters of building a state reliant on its own people.
The brutal assassination on August 15, 1975, remains a profound wound in the history of Bangladesh. Through that horrific grief, a new chapter in Sheikh Hasina’s political journey began. Exile, return, movements, imprisonment, public support—all combined, her long journey is a vital part of Bangladesh's political history.
No human being is above criticism, but it cannot be denied that in the 55-year history of Bangladesh, her role will be discussed as a significant chapter—where the movement for Bangladesh's democracy and a democratic, modern state system ensuring rights for all people, the dream of development, and the endeavor of state-building took place.
The Call for Economic Emancipation to Realize Bangabandhu's Unfinished Dream
"I will free the people of Bengal." That freedom meant more than just independence; it was tied to the aspiration of building a poverty-free, dignified, and equitable Bangladesh.
Despite diverse views on Sheikh Hasina's politics, her speeches have repeatedly echoed the continuity of Bangabandhu's dream—where education, agriculture, technology, and social safety were highlighted as vital foundations of state-building, and where equal rights and opportunities for men and women were ensured.
Her objective was to secure a policy-driven future for the state. Bangladesh still faces numerous challenges:

• Modernization of agriculture
• Banking reforms
• Energy security
• Improvement of healthcare
• Effectiveness of the tax system
• Evidence-based policymaking
A powerful state stands not only on political leadership, but also on effective institutions, efficient administration, and pragmatic policymaking. These issues will remain crucial for building the future of Bangladesh. And the realization of this is possible only through the return of Sheikh Hasina.
On this day, I extend my greetings to a veteran political leader whose life is intertwined with the various turns of Bangladesh's history.
I pray and believe that through your return, Bangladesh will move forward once again on the path of a new awakening. Against the current economic hardships, inflationary pressure, employment crisis, and multi-faceted uncertainties, people will once again find the strength to protest.
In Bangladesh's current social reality, the balance that once held society together has fractured deeply since August 5. The foundations of empathy, tolerance, and social morality have gradually eroded. Mob violence, adolescent gangs, corruption, looting, snatching, extortion, and insecurity regarding people's lives and property have pushed society toward an uncertain and unstable state.
Not only law and order, but deep crises have also emerged in social, economic, and human security. Uncertainty in people's daily lives has increased, and moral degradation seems to have spread across various layers of society.
Alarming changes have also been observed on the question of women's dignity and freedom. The tendency to belittle women, the social normalization of polygamy, and the mentality of treating women like commodities have sparked renewed discussions in society.
In my view, since Sheikh Hasina was ousted from power, the country has been passing through a difficult time of instability, intolerance, and moral decay. I see Sheikh Hasina's return as a necessary solution to overcome this crisis.
I hope that under your leadership, Bangladesh will once again firmly establish its position on the world stage, and people will find renewed inspiration along the path of realizing the dream of development that you once presented to the nation.
Therefore, your birthday is not just a day of greetings; for us, it is a day of new hope, new courage, and the pledge to build a prosperous, self-dignified Bangladesh for the days ahead.
